Who is responsible?

Tamil Student Association in Trondheim (TSAT) is responsible for data collected through this website. Questions about access, correction or deletion can be sent to tsat.trondheim@gmail.com.

What is stored?

  • Account: name, email, password hash, verification status and secure sessions.
  • Registration: name, email and, when needed, phone number or event-specific answers.
  • Membership: name, email, phone number and payment status.
  • Feedback: the message, and your name/email only when you choose to provide it.

Why do we use the data?

The data is used to provide the function you request: manage membership, reserve an event place, operate your account and answer enquiries. Access is limited to the board and providers required for database, hosting and email operations.

We do not use the data for targeted advertising and do not sell it.

How long is it stored?

  • Your account remains until you delete it. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days.
  • Registration details are anonymised 12 months after the event.
  • Membership is stored by period. Earlier periods are kept as needed for administration, funding and accounting documentation, and reviewed by the board.
  • Feedback is removed once handled and no longer needed.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction where applicable. Signed-in users can download their data and delete the web account from account settings.

You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority if you believe your data is handled incorrectly. Read about your rights at Datatilsynet.
